Contactless/RFID/NFC over Ethernet wall 'smart reader'
The FunkyGate-IP NFC is a ‘smart reader’ fitting for physical access control applications. Two versions are available:
- FunkyGate-IP NFC: RJ45 10/100Mbps connexion, 9 to 12V external power
- FunkyGate-IP+POE NFC: power-over-Ethernet RJ45 10/100Mbps connection, directly powered by Ethernet
Once you set up the ‘smart reader’ application aspect of the FunkyGate-IP NFC to reach precise cards data (number or text), whether a protocol serial number (UID), field contents or securized file they are, the FunkyGate-IP NFC is then stand-alone to do it: the computer or the treatment unity then receives data (securised protocol on TCP).
The FunkyGate-IP NFC runs with the Cloud and open the doors of the World of connected devices. A reliable and effective authentication system is used to make the server identify that the reader is the correct one and that its data is real. The reader can be implemented in many different places without a specific configuration. It interfaces virtually any pre-existing softwares through a simple HTTP service API entry-point. It is designed to be installed on a wall or a door frame. It has a buzzer and two red/green luminous lights. In addition to be an access control reader, the durable FunkyGate-IP NFC easily finds its place.
